Get those passports ready, it’s time to travel! I hope you are ready for an adventure of a lifetime within your own backyard!

Around The World involves participants working within teams as they travel around the world. Teams will travel from country to country, right in their own backyard! Through four different carefully designed obstacles, teams will have the opportunity to see Brazil, Germany, Spain and Africa, where they will work towards the objective of KNOWLEDGE. The exercise is designed to help participants learn how knowledge is power, and the acquisition of knowledge is an essential part of living a successful and fulfilling life. Open up your mind to new possibilities by embarking on this adventure of a lifetime. Are you ready to develop a deeper understanding of the world around us?

Catch That Horse

You’re up! With a team, you must put your observation and assertiveness to the test, to catch that horse. How will you do it?

Catch That Horse involves participants having the ability to identify, approach, halter, and lead a horse back to the starting point. With the objective of OBSERVATION and APPROPRIATE ASSERTIVENESS, teams must be attuned to their emotions and be willing to modify their plans along the way. Catch That Horse may not be as simple as it seems, as their teacher responds to the teams’ anxiety, stress, or confusion. It is important to listen to your teacher and develop a plan to work together as one. This exercise allows participants to work with the needs of others while starting to develop partnerships through respect and empathy.

Comfort Zone

Do you have the skills and power to self-evaluate day to day? With a team, you will have to pay attention to your comfort level changes to work through obstacles. It is up to you and your teammates to self-evaluate at any given moment.

Comfort Zone involves participants working within teams to test their comfort levels through various obstacles. Teams will have to work together from obstacle to obstacle to understand why they feel the way they do. Within teams, they will work together to reach the objective of SELF EVALUATE, as they understand why their comfort levels changed and what was required of them to feel more comfortable. Teams have to be ready to have the power and skills to self-evaluate at any given moment. Are you ready for the challenge?

Communication Rocks

Do you ever look at someone and wonder, what is going on inside your head? Gaining a better understanding of verbal and non-verbal skills will help teams learn how key communication is. We all have unique ways of communicating, so how will you make it work as a team?

Communication Rocks involve participants working within teams to gain a better understanding of their own verbal and non-verbal communication. Reaching the objective of ACTIVE LISTENING AND COMMUNICATION, participants will gain adequate skills and knowledge on the effects of communication on themselves and others. Communication can have positive and negative effects and it is important to be clear with the messages we are trying to convey. If one is not clear, the teacher (the horse) will be sure to tell you. If you think you have clear communication techniques, let’s put it to the test!

Count on Me

One does not simply make the dream work, without teamwork! Teams will have to rely on one another as they navigate through this obstacle, as participants use their listening and communication skills. The team needs you!

Count on Me involves participants working within teams to PROBLEM SOLVE. The objective encourages teams to work together throughout each obstacle. Teams will have opportunities to problem solve as they encounter counting, adding, and even some math, at various stations. Remember, the horse is a part of the team. Will you accomplish the task?

Crossing Paths

Are you good at problem solving or are your problems just easy? You will be put to the test within a team to problem solve and create a plan to work through the stations, together. What skills will you utilize to make this happen?

Crossing Paths involves participants working within teams to reach the objective of PROBLEM-SOLVING AND PLAN FORMATION. Teams will have to work together to make choices and formulate a plan, that is in the interest of all teammates. How will you make each individual plan work within one? Participants must practice their communication skills; articulation and active licensing skills, to develop their plan and problem-solve along the way.

Did I Hear You

What if I told you, we are going to play a game of telephone? There is no time like now to clean out those ears to prepare for Did I Hear You?

Did I Hear You involves participants being in teams and being challenged to listen to one another as a means of communication. Teams will have to whisper from one person to another until the final person receives the message. Once the final member receives the message, it is go time. The teammate has to complete the given task, with the horse, and see if they accomplished it correctly. Were their ears clean? Were they given the correct information? Or was there a communication breakdown along the way? Only one way to find out, try it yourself!

Driving For Success

The Rascal Flatts were right, life is a highway! Through this obstacle, teams will be navigating through a freeway-designed course, where they will have to drive for success. I hope you’re ready with your license!

Driving For Success involves participants working within teams to reach the objective of TEAMWORK. This obstacle is set up to resemble a freeway, as teams work through obstacles that are related to things that might happen on the highway. This, in turn, can help us to understand the importance of looking and moving forward to accomplish more within our lives. Teams will work with their horse as the “vehicle” to accomplish the tasks and reach the objective. Inevitably, there are many facets involved with teamwork; understanding the other members of the team, the strengths of the team as well as the team dynamics. All of this will become clearer while they are “Driving for Success.” Get in and let’s do this!

Escape Room

Escape Room involves participants being divided into teams where they have to find the final code to be transported back to their world as a group. Teams will have to work together to find their way out. The objective of PROBLEM SOLVING AND TEAMWORK is no lie. Teams will need to depend on one another as they navigate their way through. What will you do if you cannot find the final code? How will you be an asset to your team? I hope your problem solving and teamwork skills are finely tuned because it is time to put them to use!

Equine Billiards

The horses are loose and need to find their home, in the pockets. How will you work as a team, with only three people, to ensure four horses can find their homes within each pocket of the arena? Ready, set, go!

Equine Billiards puts teams up to the challenge! Participants have to work together within teams of three, to keep all four horses in the pockets (four corners of the arena). This exercise will challenge teams to problem solve, make decisions, and use their thinking and leadership skills to reach the objective of LEADERSHIP. Through the course of the obstacle, teams will be given different rules and time limits in which they have to accomplish this task. How will teams work to use each other’s strategies and ideas, to ensure everyone is a part of the accomplishment? Do you have what it takes?

Equine Olympics

Citius, Altius, Fortius – Communiter – Faster, Higher, Stronger – Together, is the motto! Do you have what it takes to get through an Olympic-style course with a team? May the odds be in your favour!

Equine Olympics involves participants working in teams where they are challenged to work through different stations, similar to the Olympics. The courses includes high jump, soccer, hurdles, 50 yds. dash and many more! Participants will work towards the objective of SPORTSMANSHIP, where teams will focus on team building and sportsmanship. Remembering the golden rule is the key to success in this course! If participants are having difficulties, it will become clear if teams have the perseverance to keep going. In these times, will you be willing to put in a team effort and work as one? Will you communicate effectively to make it happen? I hope your Communication, teamwork, and encouragement skills are up to par because it is go time!

Fear Factor

Feel the fear and do it anyways! The horses need you. Do you have the ability to create a trusting relationship with the horse to help them through their fears?

Fear Factor involves participants working in teams of 2-3 people and are challenged to embrace the fear. The course is designed with a variety of obstacles that are related to things that we know horses are afraid of in general. We know the ‘why’ to these fears but how can you create a trusting relationship to make your team (horses and humans) through these obstacles? The horses are relying on you to reach the objective of EMBRACING FEAR FOR GROWTH. In turn, this promotes participants to be confident leaders as they help themselves and others work through their fears. Think about your own fears, what are they? What do you need to move forward through them?

Four Day Survival

How will you keep yourself and your team alive? With choices along the way, you and your teammates are going to have to make some decisions to survive. The question lies in your hands, what will you bring along the way?

Four Day Survival involves participants being divided into different teams where they will focus on the objective of CHOICE. Each team will have to decide what they will need for survival, with only picking 12 items. Choices include food, magazines, flashlights, clothing etc. leaving teammates with a tough choice on how are they going to keep themselves and their teammates safe and alive? Each obstacle being a day, teams will have to choose which three items they will use to survive the scenario. The catch is, once used, you will not be able to use those items again. Teams continue to each obstacle, four days of survival, until they have nothing left. Will you and your teammates survive?

Four Musketeers

It’s all for one and one for all! You are the four musketeers after all and it is your time to shine. Each musketeer has lost a sense and it is up to you to complete the task!

Four Musketeers involves participants working within teams, where each team member has lost a sense (sight, touch, hearing, taste (speak)). This sets back the musketeers as they are barred from using different communication with each other and they need to complete each obstacle. Teams are challenged to work through this, somehow as a team, to reach the objective of COMMUNICATION AND LEADERSHIP. Teams must develop a plan, using alternative means of communication. But how will they do it?

Games of Charades

WANTED: Actors and actresses to get through a non-verbal mission. Teams must complete various obstacles without speaking or pointing and must use body language to complete the obstacles at hand.

Game of Charades involves participants working within teams without communicating through voice or pointing. Teams must find a way to communicate by acting out different words or phrases at each station to complete the obstacles. Teams will be challenged to work towards the objective of LISTENING AND BODY LANGUAGE. How will teams complete a series of tasks with body language being the only means of communication?

Horse in the Pocket

The horses are loose in the arena and must be moved! How will you help them, without touching them? I hope you’re ready to think outside the box!

Horse in the Pocket involves participants being divided into teams where they are challenged to work through various stations, together. Teams will learn to work within small and large groups as they navigate through the fun! Teams will work towards the objective of LEADERSHIP as they communicate and work with their teams to think outside of the box to achieve the task at hand. Do you have what it takes to move a horse without touching it? Time will tell! Let’s get to it.

How Do We Lead?

Do you have the 4R model to be a leader? Relationships, Roles, Responsibilities, and Results. With these 4Rs you will have success to lead!

How Do We Lead involves participants being divided into teams, where each member has the opportunity to be a leader in a given context. Teams will work towards the objective of LEADERSHIP as they complete three-styled courses, with a total of seven obstacles in all. Teams will have to Lead the Blind, Lead from a Distance, and Pass the Information Down the Line. What qualities of a leader do you possess? Do you have what it takes to guide your teammates through various obstacles?

I Hear You But Can’t See You

Don’t talk the talk, if you can’t walk the walk! How will you and your team make a plan to complete a series of obstacles?

I Hear You But Can’t See You is all about walking the talk! Within teams, participants will have to work together to discuss and make a plan to accomplish a series of obstacles. Teams will work together to achieve the objective of LEADERSHIP. How can you be a leader? What qualities do they possess? Teams must be willing to meet the needs of every member, including their horse. Participants must practice communication; articulation and active listening skills (verbal or non-verbal), while emphasizing plan development, problem-solving, and the ultimate ability to lead the team.

It’s All About Boundaries

Boundaries: Do not cross the line! Why do we have boundaries? What boundaries do you have compared to a horse?

It’s All About Boundaries involves participants working in teams to maneuver their horse through obstacles. But before beginning you must discuss the headlining questions: What boundaries do we have? What boundaries do horses have? Why do we have boundaries? With teams, you will explore this question and reach the objective of PROBLEM SOLVING AND COMMUNICATION. How will you lead your horse through the obstacles while respecting boundaries? Time to get talking with your team!

It Begins Within

It all begins within.. Discover your unique qualities and what you can offer the world!

It All Begins Within involves participants being divided into teams where they are challenged to work through various obstacles. Teams will be challenged to work towards the objective of DISCOVERING YOUR UNIQUE QUALITIES. Participants will have to parallel their learnings back to their life. What qualities do you possess? What do you offer the people around you? What do you offer to the world? It all starts with YOU!

Learning The Lingo

Brace yourselves, knowledge is coming! Lingo the learning, learn the lingo. How will you gain the necessary knowledge about your team and teacher to achieve various tasks?

Learning The Lingo is all about getting to know your teacher within various tasks. Teammates will work through obstacles, while filling out a worksheet, to come to understand their teacher to a deeper level. Participants will look deeper into why it is important to gain knowledge about the members of our team, the horses, just like it is important to gain knowledge about other people and also about themselves. Together, teams will work towards achieving the objective of gaining KNOWLEDGE, where they can come to understand what each person and the horse needs to feel safe to complete the obstacles. What do you need to feel safe?

Life is A Highway

As Joel Fuhrman said, “Life is a highway – the enjoyment you get depends on the lane you choose.” Which lane will you choose?

Life is a Highway involves participants working with teams to complete various obstacles. This isn’t an easy task though, these obstacles are designed like a freeway. Teams will have to “drive” through the course while reaching the objective of GOAL SETTING. We all know that life has its own bumps and obstacles along the way, much like a freeway. All of the obstacles are related to things that can happen on the highway and in turn, how we can set our goals on the road of life. What goals do you have?

Path of Least Resistance

Which path will you choose? Can only hope it’s the yellow brick road!

Path of Least Resistance involves participants working within teams to problem solve, work together, make choices, and create a plan. Teams will reach the objective of CHOICES by working together to make decisions that will benefit them all. It’s no doubt that in life, we are faced with choices every day. Teams are challenged to make these decisions in the face of temptations and possibilities that they may encounter. How will you as a team, use your communication skills, to articulate a plan and problem-solve, when faced with various choices?

Power Within

You’ve got the power (within)! Show yourself off and embrace who you are.

Power Within consists of participants working within teams as they are challenged to self-evaluate and reflect. Teams work through a variety of stations and continue to build themselves and show the world who they are. As a team, participants will work towards the objective of SELF ESTEEM AND BUILDING CONFIDENCE. Do you have the power to be you?

Project Runway

Your mind is your only limit; own yourself and be confident. How can you be your most confident self?

Project Runaway involves participants building confidence and owning themselves. The question lies in their hands: what does it take to build confidence? How do your choices affect yourself and others around you? Participants will work in teams to reach the objective of CHOICES AND BUILDING CONFIDENCE. It is a clear parallel to life as teams strut down the runway, making choices and building confidence that affects themselves and everyone else around them.

Round Pen

Body language: It’s important. How does body language affect communication?

Round Pen involves participants being challenged to work through their own personal observations and have the opportunity to experience the significance and power of body language. This will enable participants to parallel their learnings back to life as they reach the objective of BODY LANGUAGE. It will become evident how clear body language forms trusting, respectful relationships as the words we speak match our bodies. Think about it, have you ever seen someone slouched over, eyes to the ground? Did you want to approach them and start a conversation? Probably not. Round Pen will give you all the necessary guidance to help develop clear body language.

Side By Side

Losing a sense is never easy. In Side By Side, sight, voice, and touch are all restricted. If your voice was the only way to lead the team to success, would you have the words?

Side By Side involves participants working in teams to accomplish a given task with restrictions. How will you work as a team to complete a task when each person on the team has a restricted sense? With one member being blindfolded, one member being allowed to touch the items, and one member being allowed to speak, how will you work together to complete the task at hand? Teams will work towards the objective of COMMUNICATION as they have to rely on one another as they listen and articulate words. Your task is to dress a horse exactly like another horse in the arena but with these restrictions. Are you up for the task?

Stop and Think

STOP. DROP. ROLL. Not actually, but we are going to STOP. AND. THINK.

Stop and Think involves participants working within teams to problem solve, make decisions, and develop a game plan. Teams will be challenged with various tasks in which their team will be put to the test whether they have the abilities to problem solve quickly and develop a plan. Together, they will have to think, analyze and explore alternatives to completing the task. Teams will work together to reach the objective of PROBLEM-SOLVING AND PLAN DEVELOPMENT. Stopping and thinking allows us to process the information and then act on it. Far too often we are jumping to conclusions before thinking. There is only one way to do it, STOP AND THINK.

Taking it All in Stride

Does your team have it? Can you work together to accomplish a given task even with restrictions to your abilities?

Taking it All in Stride involves participants working within teams where they will have to find different means of communication to accomplish the given task. The teams consist of three members, where each of them will have a different role. One will be the whisperer to relay the info, one will be the speaker who receives the message from a whisper and sends the information verbally, and the last one will be the doer once they receive the information and will lead the horse through the obstacle to accomplishing the task. Teams will work towards the objective of ACTIVE LISTENING AND IMPORTANCE OF CLEARLY RELAYING INFORMATION. Do you think your teammates have what it takes to relay this information correctly? How will it affect your team if there is a communication breakdown?

Thinking Inside the Box

Do you have what it takes to think outside the box to navigate your teammates through various stations? The good news is you’ll at least be in a hula hoop, as opposed to the box. So get thinking outside the hula hoop!

Thinking Inside the Box consists of participants being divided into teams where they are challenged to work through various stations to problem solve and collect items. Teams will work towards the objective of PROBLEM SOLVING AND ADAPTABILITY as they are forced to think outside the box. It isn’t as simple as telling your teammate to grab the certain item, as partners and directions are changing. Can you handle this challenge? Will you think outside the hula hoop?

Ultimate Team Challenge

The one where the team cleans up the barn. Get your cleaning supplies ready, it’s go time!

Ultimate Team Challenge involves participants being divided into teams and are challenged to work through various stations where they will have to look after the welfare of the horse. The teams will have to clean up the barn while taking care of the horse. Participants will take on a different sense of responsibility and will discuss and parallel how people build character and why cleaning up the barn could develop this. They will work towards the objective of CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT. Will they do it? Are they certified cleaners and developers?

What Do You Know?

How does each station parallel back to your life? What do you know about yourself?

What Do You Know consists of participants working within teams to work through various stations. Teams will be challenged to complete a variety of stations where each of them will be challenged to parallel it back to their lives. Participants will work towards the objective of KNOWLEDGE OF SELF. Participants will have to question themselves along the way to be able to parallel their leanings back to their own lives. How did you interact with the horse? How do you interact with other humans? How does learning from the horse transform into your own life?

Your Space or Mine

NO! Because boundaries. What personal boundaries do you have?

Your Space or Mine involves participants being divided into teams where they are challenged to work through various stations. Teams will have to recognize, respect, and work with each other, even though each member may have different boundaries. Teams will be questioned: What personal boundaries do you have? Do your boundaries differ from person to person? Teams will have to work towards the objective of BOUNDARIES as they begin to understand themselves and their teammates through the horse. Once boundaries are understood and respected, trust and integrity are then achieved.
